The Transporter is the small end of this site, and it holds both ends of that: 4,904 mm long in its short body, the shortest van here, and 1,904 mm across, the narrowest. It also comes in the fewest bodies of any badge on this site, three, so there is very little to decide - and what there is gets decided early, because the high roof is sold only on the long wheelbase. A stand-up build therefore starts at 5,304 mm, which leaves 2,975 mm of floor behind the bulkhead against 2,572 mm on the short one, over a load floor 566 mm off the ground.

How to read these figures
Kerb weights are researched from published manufacturer data, read on 5 August 2026. Basis: 2.0 TDI 110 PS diesel, FWD, ~3.0-3.2 t GVW class (smaller than a 3.5 t van).
Kerb weight (curb weight in North America) is the unladen mass in running order (all fluids, a 90% full fuel tank and a 75 kg driver), for a base-specification panel van at around 3.5 t gross. It is researched and approximate: a real van with options fitted will weigh more, and VanCAD lets you edit the figure on your own design.
Load length is the manufacturer's published floor length behind the bulkhead, measured at floor level in the bare van. Lining, battens and a false floor all take from it, and the figure says nothing about the height or width available above it.
One interior figure is published here, and it is the manufacturer's own: the load length at floor. Everything else about the inside of the van is deliberately absent. VanCAD's interior shapes come from traced reference models, so our own figures for load height, load width or the gap between the wheel arches would be wrong at the precision somebody cutting a bed frame needs, and a cited-and-wrong number is worse than none. Whether a given bed, shower or bike fits is a question the 3D tool answers by putting it in the van.
VanCAD models the mainstream panel van bodies and drive layouts for each van, not every factory option. A maker may also sell four-wheel-drive, chassis-cab or crew-van versions that are not listed here, so anything on this page about which layouts a van comes in describes the versions VanCAD offers rather than the maker's full range.
