Grouping and van states

A group is several objects treated as one: they move, rotate and resize together. A state is a saved arrangement - the same objects, posed differently. Between them they are how one design holds a van that converts: a bench that becomes a bed, a table that stows, chairs that come out.

States come in two levels. A group state poses one group. A van state picks a state for every group at once, so switching it re-poses the whole van in one click.

  • Groups - creating one, ungrouping, removing a single object from a group, and scaling a group as one body.
  • Group states - saving, switching, renaming and deleting a group’s arrangements.
  • Van states - the whole-van switcher, and the Configure panel that decides which state each group takes.
